Summer Art Programs

2022 Schedule


Once again, Pegasus Farm will offer a variety of summer art classes. These art programs are designed for children 8 to 18 years. Students have the option to enroll in all of the programs or just those of particular interest.  The programs are open to children of all abilities, although some eligibility criteria are established for each program. Each participant will receive a Pegasus Farm summer program t-shirt!                                                                                                     

Topics and Class Dates


Painting: Session #1
June 13, 15, 17

9:30 a.m - 12:00 p.m.

Painting Session #1 is for beginners or students who just want to be creative, have fun, and explore various paints and techniques. We will be using acrylics and watercolors to complete several pieces of artwork including paint pouring and abstract art.

Painting: Session #2
June 27, 29, July 1

9:30 a.m - 12:00 p.m.

Painting session #2 is for students who would like to create more advanced paintings and hone their skills. Get ready to paint and explore bending colors and shading to add depth to a painting. Students will be guided through different projects as they explore different painting techniques. Projects will include acrylic landscapes, animals in watercolor, and various abstract paintings. 

July 11, 13, 15

9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Students will be completing several projects in this session including a ceramic piece and clay creation that will be glazed and fired. We will also create a mosaic piece using tiles, glass, beads, and various other materials. 

3-D Art and Sculpture
July 25, 27, 29

9:30 a.m. -  12:00 p.m.

This session is a jumble of materials, colors, and projects. We will transform polymer class, wood, wire, beads, and countless other materials into awesome sculptures and usable art. 

Fiber Art
August 8, 10, 12 

9:30 a.m - 12:00 p.m.

This session will introduce various fiber art including felting, using fiber supplied by our very own alpacas, Frankie and Edgar. Students will participate in cleaning, dyeing, and wet felting the fiber while Frankie and Edgar supervise. We will also be completing a garment to take home. 


Cost for any of the art programs listed above is $70 per week.
