Pegasus Farm is seeking a Non-Medical Transportation driver. The successful candidate will be part of the Pegasus Farm Direct Support Professional team and help to provide a meaningful work experience by ensuring that the individuals in the Wings Adult Day Services Program have safe and consistent transportation to and from the program. This is a part time position. Our routes run mornings and afternoons, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Provide non-medical transportation to individuals with disabilities in a vehicle with a passenger capacity of nine or more individuals.

• Provide services and support as identified in each assigned person’s Individual Service Plan (ISP) as it pertains to non-medical transportation.

• Each day the non-medical transportation vehicle is driven, prior to providing transportation to any individual, conduct and document a vehicle inspection on pre-trip inspection sheet.

• Complete trip documentation for each individual served in accordance with the individual’s ISP in a timely manner.

• Observe individuals served for signs of illness or changes in health and/or behavior and report to supervisor.

• Provide behavior support and crisis intervention as needed and supported by the individual’s ISP.

 Qualifications:

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Training and/or experience in working with individuals with disabilities preferred.

• Hold a valid license as specified by Ohio law.

• Have a driving record with no more than six points.

• Have valid liability insurance as specified by Ohio law.

• Hold certification in First Aid and CPR

• Complete testing for controlled substances

• Have an acceptable BCI check with no violations involving abuse, neglect, assault, theft, or other potential client right’s issues.

• Must not be listed on the Ohio Abuser Registry list or Nurse Aide registry.

• Receive annual training in Incidents Adversely Affecting Health and Safety.

• Ability to safely and effectively operate a vehicle with a passenger capacity of nine or more individuals

Direct Support Professional

Pegasus Farm is currently seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Hartville, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting individuals served in Pegasus Farm’s Wings Adult Day Services Program with vocational habilitation activities and options as outlined in their Individual Service Plan. This position provides oversight to adults who work in our barns.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provide formal and informal training on all vocational habilitation activities, assisting the individuals to acquire new skills and increase independence

• Complete all skill development and support logs, progress notes, individual work records, incident reports and other work-related documents in a timely manner

• Ensure a healthy and clean work environment for all individuals served

• Perform administrative functions as needed

• Take an active role in the Farm’s fundraising, special events and public relation activities

• Complete all employee time sheets, time off request sheets and submit to direct supervisor in a timely manner

Requirements:

• A High School Diploma

• A current certification in CPR and First Aid

• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities

• The ability to lift 25 pounds and carry it for 100 yards

• A current Ohio Driver’s License

• An acceptable BCII check with no violations involving abuse, neglect, assault, theft, or other potential client right’s issues

• The ability to pass all background checks as required by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities

• The ability to complete and maintain training and/or certification as a Direct Support Professional
