Non-Medical Transportation Driver

 Pegasus Farm is currently searching for a part-time Non-Medical Transportation Driver to help provide meaningful work experience by ensuring that the individuals in the Wings Adult Day Services Program have safe and consistent transportation to and from the program.

 Our mission at Pegasus Farm is to create a community that holistically supports and empowers people with diverse needs through therapeutic equestrian programs, vocational services, and recreational and social activities.

 What can we offer YOU?

  • Pay: Dependent on experience

  • Part-Time position, approximately 20-25 hours per week

  • Monday-Friday (mornings/afternoons)

 Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Training and/or experience in working with individuals with disabilities preferred

  • Valid Driver’s License required

  • Driving record with no more than six points

  • Must have valid liability insurance as specified by Ohio Law

  • Certified in First Aid and CPR

  • Complete testing for controlled substances

  • Have an acceptable BCI check with no violations involving abuse, neglect, assault, theft, or other potential client right’s issues

  • Must not be listed on the Ohio Abuser Registry or Nurse Aid Registry

  • Receive annual training in Incidents Adversely affecting Health and Safety

  • Ability to safely and effectively operate a vehicle with a passenger capacity of nine or more individuals

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide non-medical transportation to individuals with disabilities in a vehicle with a passenger capacity of nine or more individuals

  • Provide services and support as identified in each assigned person’s Individual Service Plan (ISP) as it pertains to non-medical transportation

  • Each day the non-medical transportation vehicle is driven, prior to providing transportation to any individual, conduct and document a vehicle inspection on pre-trip inspection sheet

  • Complete trip documentation for each individual served in accordance with the individual’s ISP in a timely manner

  • Observe individuals served for signs of illness or changes in health and/or behavior and report to supervisor

  • Provide behavior support and crisis intervention as needed and supported by the individual’s ISP
