Direct Support Professional

Pegasus Farm is currently seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Hartville, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting individuals served in Pegasus Farm’s Wings Adult Day Services Program with vocational habilitation activities and options as outlined in their Individual Service Plan. This position provides oversight to adults who work in our barns.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide formal and informal training on all vocational habilitation activities, assisting the individuals to acquire new skills and increase independence

  • Complete all skill development and support logs, progress notes, individual work records, incident reports and other work-related documents in a timely manner

  • Ensure a healthy and clean work environment for all individuals served

  • Perform administrative functions as needed

  • Take an active role in the Farm’s fundraising, special events and public relation activities

  • Complete all employee time sheets, time off request sheets and submit to direct supervisor in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma

  • A current certification in CPR and First Aid

  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities

  • The ability to lift 25 pounds and carry it for 100 yards

  • A current Ohio Driver’s License

  • An acceptable BCII check with no violations involving abuse, neglect, assault, theft, or other potential client right’s issues

  • The ability to pass all background checks as required by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities

  • The ability to complete and maintain training and/or certification as a Direct Support Professional
