Non-Medical Transportation Driver

Hartville, OH

Pegasus Farm is currently searching for a part-time Non-Medical Transportation Driver to help provide meaningful work experience by ensuring that the individuals in the Wings Adult Day Services Program have safe and consistent transportation to and from the program.

What can we offer YOU?

  • Pay: Dependent on experience

  • Part-Time position, approximately 20-25 hours per week

  • Monday-Friday (mornings/afternoons)

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Training and/or experience in working with individuals with disabilities preferred

  • Valid Driver’s License required

  • Driving record with no more than six points

  • Must have valid liability insurance as specified by Ohio Law

  • Certified in First Aid and CPR

  • Complete testing for controlled substances

  • Have an acceptable BCI check with no violations involving abuse, neglect, assault, theft, or other potential client right’s issues

  • Must not be listed on the Ohio Abuser Registry or Nurse Aid Registry

  • Receive annual training in Incidents Adversely affecting Health and Safety

  • Ability to safely and effectively operate a vehicle with a passenger capacity of nine or more individuals

Responsibilities:

  • Provide non-medical transportation to individuals with disabilities in a vehicle with a passenger capacity of nine or more individuals

  • Provide services and support as identified in each assigned person’s Individual Service Plan (ISP) as it pertains to non-medical transportation

  • Each day the non-medical transportation vehicle is driven, prior to providing transportation to any individual, conduct and document a vehicle inspection on pre-trip inspection sheet

  • Complete trip documentation for each individual served in accordance with the individual’s ISP in a timely manner

  • Observe individuals served for signs of illness or changes in health and/or behavior and report to supervisor

  • Provide behavior support and crisis intervention as needed and supported by the individual’s ISP

Farm Assistant

Hartville, OH

Pegasus Farm is currently searching for a full-time Farm Assistant to help maintain our 120-acre farm in Hartville, Ohio.

Supervisor:                        Farm Manager

Classification:                   Hourly

Compensation:                Commensurate with training and experience

Job Summary:  Assist Farm Manager in performance of all aspects of maintenance of Pegasus Farm stables, grounds, buildings, vehicles, and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in property, building and grounds equipment maintenance, as well as vehicle maintenance.

  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to effectively operate farm and grounds equipment safely and independently.

  • Proof of driver’s license and insurance.

  • Ability to pass a background check

General Responsibilities:

  • Conditioning, grading, and watering of the equine riding arenas.

  • Seasonal tasks including but not limited to; mowing, trimming, landscaping tree trimming and removal, snow removal, safety salt dispersal.

  • Maintenance of pastures including routine mowing, trimming and spraying and maintaining the shelters.

  • Assist with maintaining buildings, building equipment and grounds equipment.

  • Assist with construction projects.

  • Assist with other routine tasks such as manure management and removal and rubbish removal, etc.

  • Assist in supporting volunteers assigned to property, buildings and equipment improvements.

  • Adhere to all Pegasus Farm policy and procedures as set forth in the Pegasus Farm Employee Handbook.

 Other Essential Functions

  • Ability to understand and comply with appropriate policies, procedures, safety regulations and emergency procedures. 

  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and carry it for 100 yards.
