Summer Art Programs

2025 Schedule

New Format, New Time, New Topics!

To register for Summer Programs, please contact Audre Manners at 330.935.2300 ext. 115 or email audre@pegasusfarm.org. Payment for each program is required at the time of registration to reserve your place in the class.

Open to aspiring artists with or without disabilities, although some eligibility criteria are established for each program. All lessons will take place in the unique setting of our 4H animal barn! Please note our new time, 3:30pm-5:00pm.

Topics and Class Dates

Early Registration Encouraged - Limited Space Available

Learn about the human face and proportions, as well as craft portraits using a variety of media including collage, drawing, and painting.

Portraiture Session

Date: June, 9, 10, 11, 12

Time: 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Cost: $80

Ages 8+

Painting Session

Date: June 30, July 1, 2, 3

Time: 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Cost: $80

Ages 12+

Learn about color theory and how to mix paints, develop a palette for a composition, and create a landscape painting from imagination using a variety of media including tempera paint and watercolor.

Art & Light Session

Date: July 14, 15, 16, 17

Time: 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Cost: $80

Ages 8+

Learn about the effect of light in terms of color, shape, and shadow by creating stained glass compositions, original puppets to experiment with shadow, and sculptures using a variety of media to demonstrate the useful quality of light in design.

Drawing Session

Dates: July 28, 29, 30

Time: 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Cost: $60

Ages 8+

Learn about simple drawing techniques by shape observation, drawing a still life to understand light, value, and texture, and practice drawing from abstract to detailed through the use of graphite, charcoal, and pastels.
